Devin Farrand was born in Salem, Oregon and currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. He received his Bachelors degree in 3-D Art from Eastern Oregon University. He earned his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills Michigan, during which he was awarded the Daisy Soros Prize for Fine Art by the American Austrian Foundation. Devin has been awarded a project grant from the Rema Hort Mann Foundation in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Department of Cultural Affairs. He has exhibited his work in Austria, China, France, England Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan and across the United States as well as attending residencies at the Archie Bray Foundation in Montana, The Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Austria, and Art 342 in Colorado. His work is in the collections of New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum, Taiwan, Burger Collection, Hong Kong, Soho House Collection, Los Angeles, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Farmington Hills, MI, Archie Bray Foundation, Helena, MT, Nightingale Gallery, Eastern Oregon University, OR, as well as many private collections.
